Welcome to Eturf (“we,” “our,” or “us”). Eturf is an indoor sports venue booking platform operated in Bangladesh. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and related services (collectively, the “App”).

By downloading or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

  • Full name and profile photo
  • Phone number (used for OTP-based authentication)
  • Email address (optional, if provided during registration)
  • City and location preferences
  • Match reviews, ratings, and photos you submit
  • Payment information (processed securely via bKash, Nagad, or other providers — we do not store full card or mobile banking credentials)

2.2 Information We Collect Automatically

  • Device information (device type, operating system, unique device identifiers)
  • App usage data (screens visited, features used, session duration)
  • Log data (IP address, access times, error reports)
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token for push notifications

2.3 Location Information

With your explicit permission, we collect your device's precise or approximate geographic location to:

  • Show nearby sports venues (“Near Me” feature)
  • Provide accurate distance and directions to booked venues
  • Improve venue discovery relevance

You can disable location access at any time through your device settings. Some features may not function properly without location access.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your user account
  • Process venue bookings and payments
  • Send booking confirmations, reminders, and updates via push notifications
  • Enable the Friends and Match Invite features
  • Display your reviews and ratings on venue pages
  • Track referral rewards and loyalty points
  • Respond to your support requests
  • Improve and personalize App functionality
  • Ensure platform security and prevent fraud
  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations in Bangladesh

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

4.1 Venue Owners

When you book a slot, relevant booking details (name, booking reference, date/time) are shared with the venue owner to confirm and manage your reservation.

4.2 Service Providers (Firebase Only)

We use Google Firebase for core platform infrastructure. Firebase services used include:

  • Firebase Authentication — phone OTP login
  • Cloud Firestore — data storage
  • Firebase Storage — photo and file storage
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging — push notifications
  • Firebase Analytics — anonymous usage analytics

Google's use of data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy). We have configured Firebase to minimize data collection.

4.3 Payment Processors

Payment transactions are processed by bKash, Nagad, or other licensed payment gateways. These providers have their own privacy policies governing payment data. We only receive confirmation of successful transactions.

4.4 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority in Bangladesh, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

5. Age Restrictions

Eturf is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18. If you are under 18, please do not use the App.

If we become aware that a user under 18 has provided us with personal information, we will promptly delete that information and terminate the account. If you believe a minor has registered, please contact us at the email below.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Specifically:

  • Account data is retained until you request deletion
  • Booking history is retained for 3 years for accounting and legal compliance
  • Review and rating data may be retained even after account deletion as it forms part of the public venue record
  • Log data is automatically deleted after 90 days

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information:

  • All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using TLS/HTTPS
  • Firestore security rules restrict data access to authorized users only
  • Slot reservations use atomic Firestore transactions to prevent unauthorized access
  • Payment data is handled exclusively by PCI-compliant payment providers

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but commit to promptly notify affected users in the event of a data breach.

8. Your Privacy Rights

As a user of Eturf, you have the following rights:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated personal data
  • Portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Notification opt-out: Disable push notifications through your device settings
  • Location opt-out: Revoke location permission through your device settings

9. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our mobile App does not use browser cookies. However, we use similar technologies including:

  • Firebase Analytics SDK — for anonymous, aggregated usage analytics
  • FCM tokens — to deliver push notifications to your device

You can opt out of Firebase Analytics by disabling analytics in your device settings or by contacting us.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable laws. When we make material changes, we will:

  • Update the “Effective Date” at the top of this policy
  • Send a push notification to all active users
  • Display an in-app notice on your next login

Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
